Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k G1 Package
The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K Digital Cinema Camera, available at Lightbulb Rentals, enhances control and functionality with an expanded feature set. Notably, external camera controls eliminate the need to navigate menus for adjustments such as exposure settings, slow/fast motion activation, and focus assist. The camera’s exterior now includes a monochrome LCD panel for quick access to essential shooting data. Built-in ND (neutral density) filters provide versatility, with a four-position wheel offering two, four, and six stops of ND, plus a clear filter for no exposure reduction. Additional SD card slots complement the CFast 2.0 slots, supporting more affordable media for less demanding recording formats. The electronic EF lens mount is user-interchangeable and adjustable to ensure precise flange-focal distance.
The URSA Mini Pro incorporates high-quality ND filters designed to seamlessly integrate with its color science, maintaining consistent image quality and minimal color shift across clear, 2, 4, and 6 stop filters. Internal IR filters evenly manage optical and infrared wavelengths to prevent IR contamination in images, a common issue with standard ND filters.
Utilizing third-generation Blackmagic Design color science, the camera processes raw sensor data to deliver rich skin tones, natural color rendition, and an extensive dynamic range exceeding Rec. 2020 and DCI P3 standards. This wide color gamut supports professional workflows from TV Rec. 709 to modern wide-gamut standards.
The camera features dual CFast 2.0 and SD card slots, ideal for high-bandwidth requirements of 4K or 4.6K raw recording and high-frame-rate shooting. Raw HD and 4K ProRes content can be recorded on affordable SD cards compatible with UHS-II standards, ensuring continuous recording regardless of format choice.
With an effective resolution of 4608 x 2592, the URSA Mini Pro sensor captures cinematic motion pictures exceeding 4K resolution, boasting a film-like 15 stops of dynamic range. Its broad exposure latitude allows for extensive post-production control, enabling highlight recovery and artifact-free shadow details.
