Astra 1×1 Bi-Color x4 from Lightbulb Rentals is a very dependable bi-color LED fixture made by Astra. With a variable color temperature ranging from 3200k to 5600k, this light is four times stronger than the original 1×1. The light is best used as a key in smaller set ups for lighting one or two subjects. If used alone on larger scales, it is best used as a fill light.
This flicker-free, fully dimmable fixture can be dimmed from 0-100 without any noticeable color shift, features fine tuned TIR (total internal reflection) optics and has a CRI rating of 95.
If total silence is needed on your set, the astra 1×1 is the perfect choice! With passive cooling there is no sound coming from its fan! Lightbulb Rentals also offers a softbox with light, medium, and heavy diffusions as an additional accessory.
Planning a run-and-gun, shoot? Powering the Astra 1×1 has options too. The light is ready for worldwide use via its 100 to 240V power supply. Thanks to its battery plate directly in back of the fixture, the astra 1×1 can be powered by a single, 14.4v gold mount battery too! Just switch labeled dmx connectors located in the back of the unit from “AC” to ‘DC”. Lightbulb Rentals has gold mount batteries readily available as an additional accessory.
