Tether Tools TetherBlock

The TetherBlock MC Multi Cable Mounting Plate from Lightbulb Rentals is designed to prevent accidental disconnection of cables from your camera's data ports, protecting both the port and your camera from potential damage. By routing USB, FireWire, or HDMI cables through the TetherBLOCK's S-channel and attaching it to your camera's tripod mount, you can safely shoot tethered to a computer without worrying about cable disconnections due to accidental tugs or trips.

This updated version of the mounting plate replaces the TetherBLOCK Slim and features a third channel capable of accommodating thick, heavy-duty cables as well as thin and medium-sized cables. It includes both 1/4"-20 and 3/8" tripod thread mounts, allowing direct attachment to a tripod head. A 1/4"-20 slotted screw secures the plate to the camera, tightened easily with a coin. Two 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the bottom of the plate enable accessory attachment, such as microphones or video monitors.
