The filter's density is highest at the edge and gradually transitions to clear towards the middle, creating a soft-edged line of transition between the darkened and clear areas. Importantly, this filter maintains the image's natural coloration while effectively reducing light entering the lens by 4 stops with its 1.2 density.

Constructed from Water White glass using ColorCore technology, this filter is created by laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and precision grinding to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 6.6 x 6.6" (167.6 x 167.6mm), ensuring compatibility with standard filter holders and professional cinematography equipment.
