The Altman UV-703 400W Fresnel Kit available from Lightbulb Rentals is a compact yet powerful black light designed for high-intensity illumination of fluorescent materials, effective up to 150 feet away. It operates quietly without fans for cooling, ensuring minimal noise during operation.
Equipped with barndoor rollers and a built-in wire mesh safety screen in front of the lens, the fixture includes a simple-to-use ballast with a single on/off switch and standard Edison connector. Its specialized Fresnel lens filters out UV-B and UV-C wavelengths, as well as nearly all visible light.
When paired with the MLH450 black light lamp (sold separately), the fixture delivers a UV-A intensity of 17.5 at a 25-foot diameter from a distance of 50 feet at full spot, and 4.3 at a 55-foot diameter from the same distance at full flood. Constructed from die-cast and extruded aluminum, the fixture offers smooth adjustment from narrow spot to wide flood with rear and front controls. An automatic safety cut-off switch prevents operation when the lens door is open.
The included 400W magnetic ballast offers three power settings (low, medium, and high), and the fixture accepts 13″ diameter accessories while drawing 400 watts of power.
