The Aputure STORM 400x is a 400-watt tunable-white COB point source, the most compact head in the STORM x-series and an easy one-person light for interviews, tight interiors, and location work. It shares the family's BLAIR five-diode engine, tuning from 2500K to 10000K at 95+ CRI and TLCI with full green and magenta control, so it intercuts cleanly with the larger 700x and 1200x. Dimming is stepless from 0.1 to 100 percent, with the same onboard lighting effects.
The head and control box are weather-resistant and quiet under active cooling, which keeps the fixture usable outdoors and in sound-sensitive rooms. Control covers on-board operation, the Sidus Link app, wired DMX/RDM, and wireless CRMX, so it drops into a larger rig or runs on its own. Lightbulb supplies it as a kit with the Bowens reflector, control box, and power cabling.
