Half-inch blue console tape brings color coding to the finest level of set labeling. It is the same low-tack, matte, writable paper tape that board operators trust in black and white, in a blue that reads instantly as its own category, and in the slim half-inch width that fits fader strips, channel labels, cable tabs, and the narrow real estate on packed equipment faces.
Color is information on a busy production, and blue is one of the most useful assignments in the system. Sound mixers tab every cable and channel belonging to a specific deck or hop in blue so troubleshooting is a glance, not an archaeology dig. Lighting programmers band submaster groups in blue against white and yellow neighbors so a fader map reads across the console instantly. ACs use blue tabs for B-camera media and accessories, keeping two camera bodies' worth of cards and batteries from ever crossing paths. Because the tape is a true console tape, the adhesive is deliberately gentle, holding through a full run of show and then peeling off consoles, recorders, and painted surfaces with zero residue. The matte paper face takes sharpie and pen crisply, and dark ink stays readable on the blue ground.
Narrow, cheap, and clean-releasing, half-inch blue is the kind of expendable that costs almost nothing and prevents the expensive kind of confusion.
