The Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom 4 x 5.65″ / 4 x 4″ Ultra Lightweight 2-Stage Clip-On Matte Box from Lightbulb Rentals is a compact and robust clamp-on matte box designed for lenses with an outer diameter of up to 114mm. It accommodates up to two 4 x 4″ or 4 x 5.65″ filters directly, without the need for filter trays, making it versatile for various filter combinations and suitable for wide-angle lenses.
The removable flexible hood maintains its shape in extreme temperatures, enhancing durability and usability. Weighing under 7 ounces with the hood attached (3.5 ounces without), the Misfit Atom is ideal for use with gimbals, Steadicams, and aerial shooting setups. Constructed from aluminum, stainless steel, and elasto polymer, it offers a balance of strength and lightweight performance.
To ensure stability during focus or zoom adjustments, the matte box securely clamps onto lenses with a diameter of 114mm, or smaller with optional step-up rings (not included). Filters are held in place by a spring-loaded clamp at the top, preventing accidental dislodging during use.
