This extender increases the focal length of compatible lenses by a factor of 1.4x, extending the reach for capturing distant subjects without compromising image quality. Ideal for photojournalists, wildlife photographers, and sports enthusiasts, it minimizes the need to carry heavy telephoto lenses while delivering superb optical performance.
The Extender EF 1.4X III features a sophisticated optical design with seven elements in three groups, all treated with Canon’s Super Spectra coating to minimize ghosting and flare. Additionally, new Fluorine Coatings on the front and rear elements facilitate easier cleaning of water spots and fingerprints compared to standard coatings.
Enhanced data communication between the lens and camera body ensures precise transfer of imaging information, including focusing, metering, and ID data. This integration enables photographers to consistently capture well-exposed images, even with fast-moving subjects, when paired with the latest Canon L-series lenses. When attached, the extender reduces the effective maximum aperture by 1 stop.

Please note, the Canon Extender EF 1.4X III is compatible only with select fixed focal length L-series lenses of 135mm and above, as well as the EF 70-200/2.8L, EF 70-200/2.8L IS, EF 70-200/4L, and EF 100-400/4.5-5.6L lenses.
