This continuous measurement capability enhances focus accuracy, saves time, reduces retakes, and lowers production costs. Key components of the system include the CINETAPE MEASURE CONTROL and the SENSOR ASSEMBLY.

The control unit displays precise distance measurements based on data received from the sensors.

Key specifications include a type of ultrasonic focus-distance range finder for focus pulling, a method of dual ultrasonic transducers, continuous real-time distance measurement, a units of feet/inches or meters/centimeters (switchable). It also offers a resolution of 1 inch / 1 cm, a film-plane offset range of -9 to 99 ft (-3 to 30 m), a close-focus range of 12–30 in (30–90 cm).
