Fujinon Cabrio ZK 19-90mm t/2.9 Zoom Lens (PL)

The Fujinon Cabrio ZK 19-90mm T2.9 is a Super 35 cinema zoom built around a PL mount, covering a 4.7x range at a constant T2.9 aperture. It was designed to bridge documentary-style shooting and narrative work: the focus, zoom, and iris barrels all carry standard 0.8 film-pitch gears for follow focus and motor use, while the removable ENG-style digital drive unit lets an operator switch to servo zoom control in seconds. That combination is why the lens has become a fixture on run-and-gun jobs, corporate interviews, live events, and single-camera drama alike.

Optically the lens covers a 31.5mm image circle for Super 35 sensors, with an angle of view running from roughly 74 degrees at the wide end to 18 degrees at 90mm. Barrel rotation is generous for a zoom of this class at about 200 degrees on focus, 120 on zoom, and 59 on iris, which helps when a focus puller is working off marks. A 114mm front diameter and M111 filter thread keep it compatible with common clamp-on matte boxes and threaded filters.

The rear PL mount carries electrical contacts that pass ARRI LDS and Cooke /i Technology lens data to cameras that read it, so focal length, focus distance, and iris values can be recorded alongside the image for VFX and post reference. Weight is about 2.8 kg with the servo attached and 2.3 kg without, and the barrel measures roughly 226mm, light enough for shoulder and gimbal work when the drive unit comes off.
