Lightbulb Rentals offers the Lindsey Optics 138mm Brilliant Rota-Pol Circular Polarizer, designed for use with one stage in 4 x 5.65″ matte boxes featuring a geared rotating filter tray. This circular polarizer can be rotated using two geared thumb wheels, either manually or with a motor that can be mounted on the 1/4″-20 thread in the handle.
The mechanical design incorporates an all-aluminum main gear where the filter is securely mounted. Internal Delrin rollers ensure smooth and slip-free rotation of the main gear. The aluminum thumb wheels feature standard 0.8 pitch gear teeth, compatible with motorized wireless remote systems for precise control.
In matte boxes equipped with a rotating stage, the Rota-Pol can be quickly inserted and adjusted swiftly by hand or using a motor. This functionality provides efficient and convenient polarization adjustments to enhance image quality and creative control in various filming scenarios.
