When a lens designed for 35mm film or full-frame sensors is used on a Micro Four Thirds camera, it projects an image larger than the smaller sensor can capture, resulting in a narrower effective angle of view—a phenomenon known as “crop factor.” The T Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x Adapter compresses the light from the lens, allowing the Micro Four Thirds sensor to utilize more of the lens’s gathered light. This effectively reduces the crop factor and increases the amount of light available to the sensor by 1 stop per aperture setting of the lens.
Constructed from durable aluminum alloy for light weight, the adapter’s mounting rings are brass to enhance durability.
