The MYWAY Quad Plate is the four-tube array builder of the Matthews and Quasar Science MYWAY mounting system, turning four T12 linear LED tubes into a single soft source with serious output. When a lighting plan calls for a bank of tubes acting as one fixture, a homemade quad of tape and hope is not a plan; this plate is.
Measuring roughly 13 by 8 inches, the quad plate carries mounting blocks for four tubes side by side, each snapping in and out without tools. Ganged this way, four-foot tubes become a roughly 4-by-1-foot panel of soft light, a beautiful key or top light through diffusion and a powerful ambience source bounced into a ceiling. Two-foot tubes make a compact quad bank ideal for booms, car rigs, and tight interiors. Because the MYWAY system interfaces with standard grip hardware, the loaded plate flies on stands, offset arms, menace arms, and pipe grids the way any real fixture would, and the rigid plate keeps tube spacing even so the field stays smooth shot to shot. Rigging electricians appreciate that the array assembles on the cart and deploys as a unit, then breaks back down to individual tubes for transport in their cases.
