Rode Blimp Suspension Windshield System

The Rode Blimp Windshield and Rycote Shock Mount Suspension System, available at Lightbulb Rentals, is engineered to shield your shotgun microphone against wind noise and insulate it from shocks and vibrations. It accommodates a variety of shotgun mics including the Rode NTG series and others up to 12.75 inches in length.

This Blimp securely mounts to any standard boompole via its 3/8" thread attachment at the base. Inside the handle, there's a Mogami microphone cable that splits through a junction box to a flexible, slender cable within the Blimp itself. This setup effectively reduces the transmission of vibrations to the microphone.
