The plate securely attaches to the camera using the included 3/8"-16 screws and easily locks into place by dropping it into the base. Further securing the plate involves pushing the lever to clamp it firmly. Removal of the plate from the camera is facilitated by pulling the lever while simultaneously pressing the side release button.
