3/8″ to 5/8″ Thread Adapter

This small threaded bushing, the On-Stage MA-200 style adapter, converts between the two microphone stand thread standards that refuse to agree: 3/8-inch (the European standard found on many stands and clips) and 5/8-inch (the US standard on most American mic stands and accessories). One end carries a 5/8" male thread, the other a 3/8" female thread, so gear built for one system screws straight onto the other.

Sound departments run into this mismatch constantly. A European-threaded shock mount or mic clip arrives with a US mic stand, or a compact travel stand with a 3/8" stud needs to hold a US-threaded clip. Screw this adapter in and the problem disappears. Beyond pure audio work, the same threads show up across production accessories: articulating arms, phone and tablet clamps, small LED fixtures, and countless mounting doodads use 3/8" or 5/8" threads somewhere in their chain, and a couple of these bushings in the kit means everything can talk to everything. The knurled body gives fingers enough grip to snug it down tight, and once installed it effectively becomes part of the clip, which is exactly why so many mic clips ship with one and why so many go missing.
