A standout feature of the Bolt XT is its backward compatibility within its range, allowing seamless integration with any Bolt transmitter or receiver of the same series. This flexibility enables users to expand existing systems or collaborate effortlessly with others on set. To safeguard video footage, the Bolt XT employs AES 128 encryption, ensuring that only authorized receivers can access transmitted content.
Both the transmitter and receivers are equipped with versatile connectivity options, including HDMI, 3G-SDI, and looping 3G-SDI outputs on the transmitters, and HDMI output plus dual 3G-SDI outputs on the receivers. Practical mounting options are prioritized for quick setup and optimal performance, featuring integrated NATO rails on the receivers, multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8” mounting points, and ARRI rosettes on the transmitters, enhancing flexibility in mounting configurations.
The Bolt XT series incorporates an all-new aluminum chassis, reducing overall size and weight while maintaining durability. Receivers support integrated pass-through power, and battery plate options include V-mount or Gold-mount, as well as bi-directional Sony L-series or Canon LP-E6 plates on the Bolt 500 XT models. External antennas on the Bolt 500 XT transmitters enhance wireless performance, especially in environments with obstacles or interference.
Key capabilities of the Bolt XT include multicast capability for up to 4 receivers, built-in cross conversion, and essential software utilities such as a manual frequency-selection tool, 3D LUT engine, and a 5GHz spectrum analyzer for monitoring interference.
