The Canon EOS C100 Mark II Cinema EOS Camera, available at Lightbulb Rentals, is an updated model designed for event videographers, documentarians, and independent filmmakers. It incorporates Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, offering continuous autofocus with all Canon autofocus lenses. This feature enhances focusing speed and accuracy, particularly beneficial for small crews.
The Mark II introduces several upgraded features including face detection AF, MP4 recording capability, expanded frame rate options in AVCHD mode, and slow & fast motion recording in MP4 format. Additionally, an additional microphone on the camera body allows for sound recording when the top handle is removed. The camera sports a 3.5″ OLED display with improved resolution, while the EVF is nearly double the size of its predecessor and now tilts for better viewing angles. Integrated GPS and built-in wireless functionality further enhance its versatility. HDMI output supports timecode and Canon Log LUT for streamlined post-production workflows.
Utilizing the same Super 35mm Canon CMOS sensor as the C300 but with a Digic DV 4 processor, the EOS C100 Mark II features an EF lens mount compatible with Canon EF, EF-S, and EF Cinema lenses, ideal for DSLR shooters leveraging existing Canon lens investments. Recording in AVCHD codec at up to 24 Mbps, the camera supports dual SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, accommodating approximately three hours of HD video on a single 32GB card. For professional applications, uncompressed 4:2:2 video with embedded timecode can be captured via HDMI output.
Designed for ergonomic efficiency during one-person shoots, the EOS C100 Mark II weighs just 2.2 pounds in its basic configuration.
