The RED Digital Cinema KOMODO 6K Camera, available at Lightbulb Rentals, combines RED's renowned image quality and color science with groundbreaking global shutter sensor technology, all packed into a compact and versatile form factor. The KOMODO features a 19.9 MP Super 35mm Global Shutter CMOS sensor with 16+ stops of dynamic range.

Equipped with a RF lens mount, the KOMODO accepts Canon RF mount-based lens adapters, offering a wide range of lens options and supporting mechanically operated RF lenses. The camera's new 6K S35 global shutter sensor sets new benchmarks by preserving dynamic range without compromises, maintaining RED's standard of exceptional imagery.

Additionally, the built-in Canon RF mount allows users to use various lens adapters, including Canon EF, PL, and Leica M mounts. The KOMODO features a DC IN power port and can alternatively be powered using two Canon BP style batteries.

The KOMODO records in RED's efficient REDCODE RAW format, offering versatility with manageable storage requirements and direct editing compatibility across many NLE systems, eliminating the need for transcoding and saving time in post-production. Capable of capturing up to 6K resolution at 40 fps in the powerful 16-bit REDCODE RAW format, the KOMODO supports compression options (HQ, MQ, LQ) to balance data rate and image quality based on shooting requirements.

For users preferring conventional formats, the KOMODO supports native recording in Apple ProRes 422 HQ and standard 422 at DCI 4K up to 60 fps or DCI 2K up to 120 fps. Recording speeds reach up to 280 MB/s on RED PRO or compatible third-party CFast 2.0 cards, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in production workflows.

Key specifications include a sensor of Super35 6K global shutter CMOS (19.9 MP), a sensor size of 27.03 x 14.26mm, a max resolution of 6144 x 3240 (6K). It also offers a max frame rates of 6K 40fps, 4K 60fps, 2K 120fps, a dynamic range of 16+ stops, a recording formats of REDCODE RAW (R3D), ProRes 422 HQ/422.
