Yellow gaffer tape puts the universal color of caution into a professional cloth roll. This one-inch tape gives electricians, grips, and stage crews a fast, durable way to flag the things people need to see coming: edges, obstructions, low clearances, and anything that juts into a walkway on a busy set.
The one-inch width is perfect for precise caution work. Band the protruding knob of a combo stand at eye level, stripe the leading edge of a single stair tread, wrap the handle of the tool that is running hot, or flag the ratchet strap that crosses a path at shin height. Many crews also fold yellow into their department color-code alongside red and other colors, assigning it to a specific unit, truck, or team so coiled cables and small hardware sort themselves at wrap. Because yellow reads brilliantly under work lights and dim stage lighting alike, a small strip does the communicating that would otherwise take a cone or a PA standing guard.
This is genuine matte cloth gaffer tape, so it earns its keep beyond marking. It secures cable, tapes gel frames, hinges cards, and makes solid quick repairs, all while tearing cleanly by hand in both directions. The matte surface refuses to flare under lights, and the rubber-based adhesive holds hard through the day yet removes without leaving residue on paint, powder coat, or cable jackets.
